Grape Projects

March 4, 2016 by Ron

After throwing these pieces I let them sit until they are firm though soft enough for clay application to the surfaces. The clay circles are presses out of thinly rolled clay with a homemade cutter, then applied to the pieces in a random pattern. During the glazing process I add contrasting colors to the carved impression areas with a roller to highlight the raised circles.
