Etched Vase

March 4, 2016 by Ron

HT043After throwing these pieces I let them sit until they are firm though soft enough for scoring and cutting. During the glazing process I add contrasting colors to the carved impression areas. The lighter color on the rim is made with a second dip of the eggplant purple, one of several of my glazes with a drastic difference between thick and thin application.
